Arispe is a city in Union County, Iowa, United States. The population was 89 at the 2000 census. It is closely related to the nearby town of Creston.

Demographics

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 89 people, 42 households, and 25 families residing in the city. The population density was 171.6 people per square mile (66.1/km²). There were 44 housing units at an average density of 84.9 per square mile (32.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 100.00% White.

There were 42 households out of which 21.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.5% were married couples living together, 2.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 38.1% were non-families. 35.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 23.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.12 and the average family size was 2.77.

In the city the population was spread out with 19.1% under the age of 18, 3.4% from 18 to 24, 21.3% from 25 to 44, 23.6% from 45 to 64, and 32.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
